Thanks, at this stage it's the little milestones that keep me going. I took the driveshaft to get it shortened today, going to have to take about an inch out of it.

I was tempted to move the motor forward an inch to avoid this but it seems to want to fit where it is so that's where it's going.

A little progress here and there eventually it will get done.

I know I have said it before I really like how your car sits, looks great.....not to high and not to low.

Thanks guys, the frame is about 6 inches off the ground in the back and about 5 1/2 inches from the ground in the front.

Fender lip to ground in front is 22 5/8" and 23 1/2 inches in the rear with these wheels and tires.

I was thinking the frame was going to be closer to the ground and I guess as I ad weight in it will get lower but I have the motor and trans installed
in these pictures so it has most of the weight its going to see.

After reading your post, I was wondering what my fender lips measured out as, my frame is the same height but the fender lips are 25".

Since you have taller tires that is probably the difference. They are pretty close considering built completely different.

I have it back on the rotisserie now finishing up welding the bottom side of the frame.

Thanks for taking and posting those measurements from your car.

Progress has kind of stalled. I am trying to "finalize" my engine position and motor mount location so I can begin building some headers.

But I did get some mental motivation.

I really like the formula 400 scoops, always wondered what they would look like on a vega/astre. All i can say is they look great!
I think you could always get away with using 74 and up astre grill with a similar effect cause the upper valence and lower valence angle would match up pretty nice.
Either way it looks killer and cant wait to see the result!

I have always thought the formula scoops are a very cool Pontiac touch. Great concept on you part giving them a very natural Astre look creating both a classic as well as modern design feel. props man, good job.

I like. That rendering is cool as it gets.
If you pull, doing that hood and scoops off as well as the rest of the build. Its gonna be sweet.
