Been working on the bumpers a bit trying to decide to get them refinished or not.Pretty good shape except for some corrosion under the bumper guard.Earlier removed bracing, springs.and guards and made new mounting brackets now looking at the shells.Tried some corrosion remover to see what they looked like
Used stainless wire brush and Phix until the area was some what shiny
Going to give it a temp. fix for now with some of the 'chrome' paint with a swab
puddle it on the corroded area, let dry over night and kept repeating
Really not that bad if can save a lot $$ in refinishing them
sourced some 2" moulding here http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Black-Side-Bo ... xy4dNSr4ri They also have chrome but not sure if it will wrap around the bumper ends
This stuff wraps nicely on the 2" wide bolt mounting area
Look what I found http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vega-Family-Las ... rF&vxp=mtr
