I went with Competition engineering 4 link and backhalf. It was the most affordable and cheapest shipping. Because of the Camaro tail lights I needed to modify the back half. The frame rails that go to the back were to high and hit the tail light buckets. So I cut the frame rails added about 1' of frame and rewelded it on both sides. The Ford 9" rearend I made from scratch. Used a small web center section, 3" DOM metal pipe and Big Ford housing ends. Bought a jib off ebay to setup rearend and keep it true.

I bought the 24" wide frame and put 18" wide tires on. I have about 1.5" of space on the inside and outside of tire

Once the backhalf was installed and welded up I started making the sub frame connecters. They are 1.5 * 3 box tubing. Run from back half upto front of car. They will be welded to the rocker pinch welds flange

Very nice work. I love the Camaro tail lights and your rotisorie. Very good idea. Can't wait till you get to your Glastech front end as I have one for my pro street car and I want to see how you mount the grill and head lights and other details. :th:

Now it was time to start the cage. I bought a S&W 10 point cage but I made a lot of changes to it and bought some additional tubing. When it was all said and done it was a 16 point cage with a lot of custom bends. The main hoop I installed with no modifications and the halo I put a small bend to flow with the windshield. As for the A pillar bars I didnt even use them. I made up a PVC templete on how I wanted the roll bar to flow at the A pillar. A lot different than what S&W kit

As you can see I made a lot of changes. I wanted it to be tight to the A pillar and flow threw the dash.

The back down tubes from S&W I did not use. Made my own because I want the bars to go all the way back. S&W kit only went to the shock mounts. I made a X brace and put that at the shock mounts

Heres a couple of pictures of the interior cage done.

Next it was to the front of the car. I am putting a fiberglass nose on the car and planning on cutting all unneeded sheet metal off

Next was to make the tubing to pickup front end shock loads and work around the heater core and steering.
A lot of custom bends, but no where as hard to make as the A pillar bars

With the cage done it was time to clean all welds prep for another coat of epoxy primer. Put the car back onto the rottisorie but with so many changes to the car I had to use a engine lift in the back. Proberly was not the safest thing I have ever done. Kicked my ass on the prep and got it done in 1 day. With the car up on its side you get a great look at subframe connectors, backhalf, fuel cell mounts, ect. I could never have done as good of a job unless it was up on its side
