75 kammback GT build.. finally

Postby 75kammbackGT » Fri May 17, 2013 11:12 am

Been awhile since ive been on the site.. me and wife seperated.. anyway i figured since i have a lot more time on my hands i might as well start the build on my wagon... first a little back story.... i got the car almost 20 years ago when my grandpa pulled the car in and the owner gave it to him for the tow bill, i loved the car as soon as i saw it, and my grandpa gave it 2 me, i was 11 at the time, and more or less learned 2 drive in it. I maintained it and drove it every now and then till i turned 21 and decided 2 make it my everyday ride... at 50454.2 miles it spun and chewed up 3 crank bearings and ruined the stock engine... So it sat buried behind my dads building for 7 years or so... until a few days ago...

The day i dug it out. All original plus 7years of gunk....

The mileage... original

The car is still all original minus the crap engine...plans are to put a mostly stock 305/th350 combo in it and make it road worthy again then completly restore the car. Maybe with a pro-touring look, or a gasser, havent decided yet. Stay tuned i plan on putting as much info as i can on this post

Looks like a nice solid ride to build upon. Body looks good as well as the interior except for the carpet. Should make for a very nice project from what I can see.

Thanks. Carpet is junk and the rear interior panels are a little worse for wear. Has a couple surface rust spots but no holes anywhere. Thankfully the car has spent its whole life in the south... ill put up more pics and info as often as possible...

Another late wagon build! The competition is motivating me to get to work! Great looking car, it'll be awesome with a V8.
