Today (saterday) again nice weather in Belgium . No rain like the last 2 months . I set the ignition timig, it was 18°and i set it to 15° (normal) . This is much better . Sorry, no time for the clock .
Today, I removed the valve covers from my spare V6 3.8L . In one word : terrible !!! Inside the engine, on the camshaft, valve springs, is all rust . I think this engine is for garbage . The ex owner told me that the engine does not work anymore for several years .
Today it was great weather, spring is comming !!! Time to fix the drivers door . The door handle was broken and i replace it . Inside, the armrest was damaged, also replaced . A few month ago, i repair the Inside locking Rod, i glue 2 pieces together, but today it has broken again . So i need to arrange something else, maybe other glue ?
everytime I step into my car i see that dirty plate assembly from the floor console . So, time to take a spraycan and give it a nice black color . In a shop for modelplanes I buy a paint pen (4$) .
I drill the 4 rivets from the cluster & carrier and remove the reinforcement . (Hope this is the correct word) . Later a want use 4 screws to assemble .
Has somebody do this before ? Or i use again revets .
And for people who are intrested, the left one is with interval, the right one not .
Just when i remove the delay switch i see that the connectors are different .
Working whit a paint pen is very easy, the place that you need to paint is a few mm higher than the rest . So take your time and sometimes you need to paint with 2 or 3 layers . But indeed, the result is nice .
The wiper motor connector looks the same from here, just moved off the switch body. The three pin connector will be the potentiometer wires for adjusting the delay and go to a module.
Zeke and Peter the motor is the same. You just need the switch and module, and the relay that plugs into the module. The relay had to be purchased separately when still available from the dealer if you obtained tis from a parts car it would blend in and not really be that obvious. Harry

These motors have park, but no hide when parked (under the cowl edge of the hood like 2nd gen Camaro's big Chevy's etc.) those require a different motor. I have tested the whole kit and caboodle on a car with out the pulse wiper option and it worked fine, I bought my first conversion at the dealer and I had the "Parts Guy" check all the part numbers for the pieces and the motor was the same! neither of us noticed that the relay had a separate PN though (it looked to be part of the module from the picture I remember [about 1984]).
