I got this car back in September of last year. viewtopic.php?f=52&t=42267 I went to the secretary of state last week and got a title. Now that i have that, i can start putting some work into it. Yesterday i put the car up on jacks and took the interior out and was able to completely assess the rust areas. For the most part the rust isn't that bad and should be an easy patch job, but there is rust in some key structural areas that are a concern. The rear lower control arm mount areas are in need of repair. The tranny crossmember is connected only to the trans tunnel. The floor support section is completely gone on both sides. At the moment, my goal is to fix the rust areas of concern and get everything together. Once i have it driving, then i will get more into actually BUILDING the car. The interior was dyed long in the past, and most everything was removed when it was done. I hadn't expected that much. I found 2 build sheets between the insulation and the floor! 1 is pretty well damaged, but the other is in good shape. :D The biggest thing i think is going to be fabricating a radiator support. The PO cut it out for some reason, bumper brackets and all. The torque arm bracket is welded to the cross member. I thought they all bolted to the transmission, but it is a nice clean weld. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I'm only into the car for $100

Hi Captain, Those pics of your Skyhawk sure remind me of the work i've had to do on my Vega . I have pics in my garage space if you might need a bit of reference for yours.
