A couple of the turns it pushed pretty bad.... mostly because I was too hot coming into the turn. With better braking on my part and throttle steering, I could have really shaved a half second or so off those runs.

I had an old trailer hitch still in the original box I bought 10 years ago or so.......

Ideal Mfg Co. Iowa.
Loadmaster
Part # TM-2201
- looks to be straight from 1971 (no later models listed, as '72 &'73 would be the same).

Well, I always wanted an early Kammback with a 215 for a hauler, so.......

OK...... so the Jeep is down with a busted brake line, which emptied the master cylinder. Rather than work on it, I decided to install the hitch on the Kammback because I need to take the trash off. It was piling up and starting to stink.

If you noticed in the instructions I posted above.....
the tongue weight capacity is 100 lbs.
Load capacity is 1000 lbs.

She won't tow much, but she will tow. Trash, lawn mower, canoe, camping gear(if loaded correctly), other lightweight items under 500 lbs.

I only live about a mile from the convenience center where household trash is received. Afterwards, I went on a little 10 mile backroad trip with it to see how it performed. I'm impressed. Now I'll need to do a wiring harness for trailer lights..........

Very cool! :th: I have an NOS Monza hatchback trailer hitch that I plan to install on my Spyder for long road tours. My dream was to customize a fiberglas motorcycle trailer and "Spyder it up" with paint & decals, and then use it as my tools/cleaning supplies/etc trailer on the Hot Rod Power Tour or any long road trip.
