I am Back and finally recovered from spine surgery. Me and a friend went together and leased a 1,200 sq ft shop. My girlfriend said no way to using the garage and my buddy had a lot of cars making it difficult. so problems solved. I have all of the imsa kit and dana 44 rear end is cleaned and buffed. I just found a 1993 lt1 with 60,000 miles and a zf6 speed trans.so that is the planned route. took a month of weekends to clean the shop and install all the tools. so just tore out the rear end and stating to fit the dana and the fiberglass front end.

I see this thread pop back up after a year, and then about 10 minutes later I run across another mention of Corvette IRS being installed in a project on the Hot Rod website;
