'72 Vega GT Kammback

Postby SagginWagon » Mon Nov 19, 2018 3:18 am

Hello everyone! Being new to the forum, and the H-body platform, I thought I should introduce myself and my new project here.

As you might have guessed from the title, I just picked up a 1972 Vega GT Kammback. I'm not always good about recording progress with pictures, but I will try my best.

So I picked up a V6 to put in the car... Which ought to be pretty good. 300hp for a car this size and weight is going to be fun.

I have an original engine then if someone is looking for one? Ive got the manual transmission to go with it. I will also be pulling out the rear end if someone needs that as well.

Finally got this picture thing figured out.
The V6 I picked up, had a con rod cap that looked like it got a little cooked. Looks like the bearing and journal are bit eaten up. If it can't be fixed at the machine shop, I may just need to get a new engine.
