My suggestion is to use V6 springs from a Monza.
They should give you the right ride height. They can
be found EASILY at most junk yards, much easier to
find than V8 springs. Or, you can order them from Espo
Springs 'n' Things for about
$65.

P.S. I don't have a number, they are on the web
though.

I have a V8 Swap book and they talk about putting
a 307 (Why this motor I haven't a clue) in a Vega
and they used '65-'68 Corvair Van rear springs. The
right height is exactly stock, and since the van is
rear-engined they can easily support the extra weight. The
spring is exactly the same length of a stock Vega
spring, only where the stock Vega spring is about
1/2-3/4" thick, the Corvair Van spring is a stout 1"
thick.

P.S.: Just put a V6 in it like I did and you don't have
to change the springs (c:

I just put MOROSO springs in and now it's too
high. If you need to cut, cut 1" for every 2 inches you
need to lower. Do Not use a torch. Saw or cutting
wheel only. If you need to buy a spring compressor, JC
Whitney has them on sale for $28.
