hey guys one ques. i bought a scanner but it seems when i scan it puts it in tif. format and i can't upload unless it's gif. or jpeg,any suggestions on how i can change the format?

Hey Dan. My scanner came with Micrografx Picture
Publisher software. So I can only speak as to how it works.
But it allows me to choose the format in which to
save the scanned picture. Also I can save an existing
picture as any format(or 1 of about 15 formats). Sounds
like you may need to get different publishing
software.

I have a CHEAP solution for you for the time
being. Do a internet search for Paint Shop Pro 5.0. It
is shareware and will both allow you to browse your
file folder and convert your pictures to any format
you want. I believe <a href=http://www.shareware.com target=new>http://www.shareware.com</a> or
somewhere similar will have it. If not, you can always get
it from <a href=http://www.jasc.com target=new>http://www.jasc.com</a> (I BELIEVE this is the
right URL) as they are the makers of the program.
