Hi,
Since I am new here I thought I would
introduce myself. I am the owner of a a '76 Vega hatchback.
Most recently it was a '79 305 w/ TH250 trans. I t was
cheap and it was fun for awhile but I crave more power
and better brakes. With a little cam and free flowing
exhaust the 305 would run a lot better than the brakes
would allow. For this winter I want the following
modifications:
I have purchased or traded for: a complete 350 4
bolt core - a TH350 transmission core with universal
bolt pattern (I always wanted one, but realy didn't
need it) spindles, calipers, etc. from a '80 Malibu.
and a ford 8" rear axle. I am in the process of
adapting the malibu ball joints to Monza a-frames. Talked
to the machinist today and I hope he is going to
whip up a pair of sleeves that will match the Malibu
ball joint o.d. These I will have welded into the
Monza a-frame. Any suggestions as to how to cut a
perfect centered hole in the a-frame so that the new
sleeve is in the proper location?
