I just bought a 1975 Vega. I was glad to see that
everyone loves them as much as I do. I just have to ask
one question. Whats up with the air filter? Was it
supposed to be one piece or does it somehow come apart?
Any help on this subject would be a great help.
Thanx, bbutch22

You must have an original air filter assembly.
The factory versions were intended to be replaced as
a unit.Real cost effective idea for a low budget
car,eh? When I got my first stock vega in 1983(a 1977
car) I purchased a replacement housing from FRAM which
opened easily to replace the filter element. I do not
know about availability of this currently, but if you
can't find it new you may find it on a car in a
junkyard.By the way,the busiest site for info on these cars
is <a href=http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/gmhbody target=new>http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/gmhbody</a> Dave
