Dude! Take a chill pill for crying out loud!
First of all, there are 27 members and second, just
because I don't know anything about cars doesn't make me
stupid. If you want to talk about cars and stuff then
just post a message and those
knowledgeable/questionable will post a response! That's all there is to it!
Sorry if I seem pissy, but I feel personally
insulted!

BF,

First of all, you can back down some
of your attitude. You don't need to bash people just
because you don't get your way.

Second, No,
nobody in the club talks about Buick T-Types. Why?
because this club is not FOR Buick T-Types. You'd know
that if you read the title of the club (Buick SKYHAWK
Owner's Club). Last I checked, a T-Type was a turbo
Regal, not a Skyhawk.

Third, you are right: look
somewhere else.

First I hate people with attitudes like that.
Second Mr. BF must not be to brite if he couldn't find
the 200+ Regal T type sites that are on the web. And
by the way pal, try typing Regal in the search next
time instead of Skyhawk, you would have much more
luck.

Attitude??? 1st of all, I was just wondering
about the content of the messages I have seen since
joining this club; since I asked a legitimate question
about my '86 Buick Skyhawk T-Type, I have yet to see
even 1 message in regards to it, and Trust me it IS a
Skyhawk. According to the logos on the car and according
to my vin AND my pink slip and to Buick. So perhaps
you should 'check' again, and maybe more frequently
as well. Further more, I was NOT bashing ANYONE. Nor
was I trying to get 'My Way', as you say. My last
message was meant to be a humorous and somewhat sarcastic
question about the last several messages. There was no
'attitude' involved,I was laughingly asking the question I
asked and I simply thought it was funny that all the
messages so far are about who the founder or co founder
is..in fact YOUR message is tinted with far more
negative attitude than mine , even if mine WAS
misunderstood. And to the 'co founder': I NEVER said ANYONE was
'stupid', and as I recall YOU stated in one of your
messages that you didn't know much about cars...thats not
a problem for me, I just thought it was funny that
the most messages in the club so far are made by
someone who by their own admission, "doesn't know much
about cars".. I'm sure your an intelligent and
thoughtful person.
I apologize if my message sounded
otherwise, I didn't mean it to.
And now, to the boob who
claims i'm not too bright....I'd send you a dollar so
you could buy your self a clue, but it probably
wouldn't do any good...Why would I type 'Regal" into the
search box when that is NOT what I have?
If your that
unfamiliar with these cars.. why are you even in the club in
the first place? Do you actually believe I don't know
what kind of car I drive? Do YOU know what kind of car
YOU drive?maybe where your from, there are lots of
people driving around who don't know what kind of car
they have, but that's not the case here. And since you
state " I hate people with attitudes..."
you must
hate yourself....seek help.....
Oh and THAT last
part of the message was MEANT to be caustic and full
of 'Attitude'.
PS... to all those in the club who
have NOT sent their OWN attitude laced replies, I
apologize for subjecting you to this......but I'm not going
to let others make insulting remarks accusing me of
insulting someone else, or not knowing my car from a block
of wood without retaliating in kind.. the 3 replies
I got remind me of the old saying about the skillet
calling the kettle 'black'.. But 'I' made NO insulting
remarks about ANYONE..
I especially did not make
anything in my message personal....that would have been
out of line.
And from the content in 2 of those
messages.. the 2 NOT from the cofounder.. I doubt I would
get an intelligent answer to my inquiry
anyways,,,they don't seem to know much about Buick Skyhawks in
the first place. Please try to know what your talking
about before making assinine remarks that do little
more than make you look like a couple of 'Idgits'. Try
looking at j-body platforms.
you can find a reference
to this at:

<a href=http://members.aol.com/KWZ26/models.html target=new>http://members.aol.com/KWZ26/models.html</a>
then try telling us again that there is NO '1986 Buick
Skyhawk T type'.. "...the flag is up!"
I will of
course take the advice of murfy and look somewhere else
for help with my car since it is obvious I won;t get
it here, because you don't even know the car exists.
yeeeee hawwwww! ya'll come back, now, ya hear? BF.

B.F.
Sorry for the misunderstanding by the
members, but this club deals mainly with the HBODY
(1975-1980) Buick Skyhawk of which there were no T-Types.
Your 86 happend to be a Jbody, which was the
replacement for the HBODY(71-80 GM platform).

So it
appears that both of you were right and wrong at the same
time. When talking about applws ensure that you aren't
thinking pears.

DICK

Well said, Dick. (of course, I would expect that
from a fellow Air Force brother. *smile*)

To
TLM, I reiterate: "Feel free to look elsewhere." To
help you in this endeavor, here is a good start: Try
the J-Body Organization at:
<a href=http://www.j-body.org/index.php target=new>http://www.j-body.org/index.php</a> or better yet, check out their FAQ site at:
<a href=http://www.j-body.org/library/faq.php target=new>http://www.j-body.org/library/faq.php</a> ...and if you ever find yourself wanting to know
more about "our" Skyhawks, try the "H-body" (not a
typo) FAQ site that I help maintain at:
<a href=http://drive.to/hbodyfaq target=new>http://drive.to/hbodyfaq</a>

Now "THIS" is a useful post you can benefit from, so
can the squabbling stop
now?

Enjoy...

Ken

TLM,

If you are still around, I take this
opportunity to properly chew on the foot that I so firmly
stuck in my mouth.

See, you are correct in that
you intended the message to be funny. However, seeing
as how we were unfamiliar with you, it was difficult
to read humor behind accusatory words. Yes, you
intended them to be sarcastic, but sarcastic doesn't work
well in the written form unless the reader knows the
author. Therefore, I (and others) mistakenly took your
words to be harsh as opposed to the comedy you
intended. Again, sorry.

As for the T-Type that you
own, thank you for the lesson. As I said, last I
checked, they were Regals. However, as I don't know enough
about the J-bodies, I spoke out of turn and I was
wrong. Further to that point, members of this club are
affiliated with the H-Bodies Owners Association, a club that
focuses on 71-80 H-bodied cars. Therefore, there was an
underlying assumption that YOU didn't know about, yet we all
assume. Again, another point of contention.

Thanks
for stopping by and making us realize a few things:

- we haven't properly described this club
-
there were Skyhawk T-types
- some of us jumped the
gun
I always try to hold back, but when a new guy jumps
in and starts slinging harsh words in his second
post, I posted back. There was no way to tell they were
intended to be humorous.

Ken's words were spoken
more representative of what we hope the membership to
portray. Our ignorance of the topic was directly related
to the misunderstanding with which you posted:
assuming that this was a club for all Skyhawks.

Hopefully, as Ken stated, the fued is over.

Joe
