My son has a 77 Skyhawk, which he loves, but one rim got bent and he
can't find a replacement anywhere. I'm a car idiot, but am helping
him out while he's scrounging thru local juckyards.
Any ideas?

The Skyhawk (2nd gen H-Body, i.e. - Monza Skyhawk, Starfire, Sunbird)
came with a variety of wheel options, i.e. - standard steel wheels
with a lot of slotted holes for matching hubcaps, Rally II wheels, 10
hole polished aluminum wheels. Your best bet is to join and check
the "GMHBODY5" site at Yahoo! Groups. This site has the most members
and activity. Also, join and check Bob Gumm's site at: "v8monza.com".
This a big club with alot of activity. I have purchased wheels from
members on both of these sites. The place to look would be Ebay
Motors under classsic cars aand then under auto and truck parts. Then
search under Monza or Skyhawk or Starfire or Sunbird. The Monza and
Skyhawk nameplates have the most parts available. Ihave lots of
wheels, but I have 4 Skyhawks and 4 Monzas.

Emails with names signed are helpful and courteous.

Good Luck

JD

It would be a good idea if you could describe or better yet, provide a
picture of the wheel in question.
