Both Tom Lippert(correct?) and Myself own green/buckskin cars and like them. Tim, bobbycosworth says you own a blue/white. Still have it? Know of any others around?

Wrong! I used to own a Blue with BUCKSKIN CLOTH Cosworth - I should never have sold the car.

Later Y'all

My preference is the Buckskin interior.
A few
nice interior and engine pictures of #3449 are in my
photo album

Tom, I was looking at your pictures and noticed
the liner under the trunk lid, I don't have that in
my car, that must explain why I get that cheap thin
can sound coming out of there while driving or worst
when I close the lid.

Where can I find a good
one and how much $$

Al, which picture ?
There is carpet covering
the rear load floor. That is standard, but not always
available from reproduction carpet companies. Sometimes
they just provide the Front seat and Rear seat area
carpet. Some do have the rear load floor carpet, buy
never the little piece that glues to the back of the
rear seat.
Also, under the aluminum load floor is
insulation like hood insulation. The load floor also has a
rubberized tape to cushion it slightly from vibrating
against the car body. You could probably also put
additional padding in the spare wheel compartment or spray
the inside with a sound proofing material.
On my
76 GT I had that car rust proofed. That tar
substance was sprayed all over inside the body panels and
the spare well. I paid extra to have the spare well
sprayed. I then laid bolts down on the well floor so the
spare tire would not stick to the metal.

I got a call today from a guy by the name of Tony
Pease in Memphis, Tenn. He has a Cosworth for sale for
$1500 OBO. It has a Weber conversion kit on it and
comes with the FI. He says the car runs and has a nice
interior but it has some minor front end damage. If anyone
in that area is interested, his # is 901-289-6860.
If someone checks out this car, please let me know
what the Dash # and VIN is for my records. Thanks,
Chris.

Got an interesting call while on the chat room
Thurs. Someone in NC wanted to sell his Cosworth. He got
me name and number from a copy of the CVOA magazine.
Here is what I could find out from him on the phone.

76, #2860, Black with Black/white cloth interior, 34K
miles, has all paperwork. Been stored inside and NOT run
since 1983. He doesn't know if it will start. (bought
it from someone else recently, don't know how much
he got it for). Orginal paint, wheels, interior, and
tires. Still stored inside. Located in Hendersonville
NC. Wants to sell it to someone who knows about the
car and will give it a good home.

The person's
name is Ron Rhodes. I will give you his telephone
number upon request. Post me a message here with an
e-mail address, and I will e-mail you his telephone
number.

Shawn
0046 & 2100

P.S. If it was a colored one I
would have bought it myself.

Cosworth For Sale

Ad in today’s paper lists a Cosworth for sale. I
spoke with the owner. #3090, VIN 1V7706U216630.
Mahogany with Lt. Buckskin interior. Asking $3600. He
bought about a year ago from man in Canton who had it
stored in GA for about 10 years. Solid car. Battery tray
rusted. Good wheels and tires. Base car: no swingouts, AM
only (not working), no accessory package, no defogger,
4-speed. Oil leak. Had intended to do V-8 conversion;
that’s what people who stop and look at the car talk
about; he’d prefer to sell to someone who wants to keep
it original and who appreciates the car for what it
is. Has Hutton 42DCOE8 Weber setup, no spare EFI
components, no literature beyond owner’s manual. 59k miles.
Contact Jim Yanuta in Smithville, OH at 330
669-3385.

Mark

Hey guys, I appreciate your interest in the car, as I said it is
pretty messed up, I am not sure if it will start because it has been
idle for such a long time. But if you are still interested, you could
use it for parts or a challenging restoration job. The car is located
in New Jersey. I have not determined an asking price just yet, but
over the next couple of weeks i will be posting responses and will
definetly respond to your emails. I hope to get the car out within a
week or so and get some digital pictures to send just so you guys can
see the car. Anything else I can answer, please let me know.
-Jay

I have a 1976 cosworth vega for sale. It is black with gold strips on
the side. I have to say, it has been sitting in the garage for a
great many years, and has sustained body damage from being hit with
things in the garage, as well as big dings in the roof from my
grandfather stacking things on top of it. However the engine if
cleaned out could be very nice as my grandfather put in a new one just
before it was put into the garage, also other parts could be used for
an existing cosworth owner. If anybody is interested please let me
know. <a href="/group/cosworthvegas/post?protectID=197212253254193154187171065140172115177143030009169229108221130091143076086020224">probodyboarderjay@y...</a>
