Fred,
You didn't piss me off one little
bit, as far as owning a ZR1, I thought I was the only
ZR1 owner with a CV, quite different isn't it?
I
don't want to chop it up, but I get frustrated when I
see what a rust bucket sells for and how much some
guys are willing to waste on a piece of junk, my car
is in excellent shape, and when I try to sell it I
can't even get what a part car would sell for.
As
for sleeping less, if I do, I'll die, after spending
time with my wife and daughter, I go work on the car
sometimes for hours, ask Duke, he even asked me if I ever
sleep, (I don't drink, not even a beer every 2-3
years.)
As for having a friend in Canada with a CV, that
might make it a bit more fun, but right now I know what
would make the car more fun, but it would cost money
and I just can't justify spending anything on it when
I see what it's worth, to me it's like banging my
head against the wall, I'd like better tires, a paint
job, I can't stand the swirl and the little cob webs
cracks in the laquer, it drives me nuts.
As for
calling me a good person, I'm not sure why you think that
way, I do my share of whinning on this site, and I
stir the pot with my questions some times.
I fix
my CV more that most, like if I would be in love
with it, but I would sell it to the best offer, I
tried to like this car, but I find it so damn slow,
it's not even funny, I'll take it to the track to see
if there's anything wrong with it, but it feels like
a 40 sec @ 65 mph car, and it drives me crazy, I
own a 97 Jimmy that weighs 4000 lbs and have only 190
FWHP, and it moves a lot quicker than the CV at 2600
lbs and 110 FWHP, so the HP/lb ratio for the Jimmy is
0.0475 hp/lb and for the CV it should be 0.0423 hp/lb,
but I can't figure out why it is such a DOG, I'm at
the point where I feel like reving it to 4000 and
dump the clutch in order to get it going, I'm pissing
people off in the traffic and they think I do it in
purpose, because I run away from them once I get it to
5000 rpm, but it takes a long time to get it
there.
Anyways, thanks for the kind words, i must sound like the
biggest pessimist on this site, but trust me, I'm not
always like that, if you read my post on the ZR1 net,
you would think it is a different person.
Anyways,
I won't part it out, but I'm going to take a loss
on it, all the parts, labour and Taxes to bring it
in Canada, I can kiss it all goodby, I'll keep you
all posted as soon as it hits the classified and Auto
Trader.
I need more low end torque without spending
money.
Later
Al
