I have two Cosworths, one Cosworth has a clear
turn signal lens and the other has an amber turn
signal lens(both are 1975 models). Which one is
correct?

P.S. Duke I was just teasing you, I crunch math
formula daily.

Thanks

Fred

Someone needs to verify this, but I believe '75
models have a single dual filament bulb for tail light
and brake/turn signal function through a red lens,
and a single bulb behind a clear portion of the lens
for the backup light. No portion of the '75 lens is
amber. For sure '76 models have a separate provision for
a third bulb behind an amber portion of the lens,
but it was not implemented in production. Adding the
socket, bulb, and wiring to implement amber turn signals
on '76 models was written up in CV Magazine circa
1981.

The 1976 tail light housing is obviously different
that the '75 version, and looks very similar to the
contemporaneous Jaguar XJS. It's not clear if Chevy copied Jaguar
or vice versa.

The color scheme for the front turn signals on
Vegas from '71 - '75 was always clear lens for the GT.
Any variance is the result of ordering the wrong part
number or grabbing the first Vega at the junk yard.
Amber plastic- clear bulb is the standard config. '71 -
'75 GT's (and '75 Cos) used the amber bulb-clear lens
deals.

Fred I am considering them also they are housings using the H4 bulbs
same as the bulbs in my Audi the only difference is I have the
100/55 bulbs xenon blue they are whiter and brighter the reason I
use that wattage is because of the area I live in there are a lot of
deer and I want to be able to see them not hit them. The 65/55 bulbs
that come with the light in that auction are standard wattage I am
not sure if they will give the distance the ones I use but you will
certanly see a difference. I have seen other bulbs that will fit in
that housing but I do not like using more that the 55 watt low side
as that is legal limit yes the 100 is not but if you use them
carefully and not try to blind other drivers you should be ok.

Are Diamond Xenon lights worth it or is this a sales gimmick. Any
thoughts?

Thanks, Fred
