All right, I drive #1002 daily. It has a Hutton rebuilt motor,
sleeved block, higher compression etc., and 42mm Webers. Is it still
a CV? It is not stock.. Also, it has a five speed with a 3.73 posi
rear end, this combo was never available in 75', Is it still a CV? I
think some of us are taking ourselves too seriously. Hey, it's a
car, do with it as you please, enjoy it. What about Kiva75's car, a
GT with all Cosworth parts, is it still a Cosworth? How about 3136,
the racecar my dad bought. The engine is 2.3L with Webers, and about
nothing else on it that came from a Cosworth. Is it still a CV? If
it has a Cosworth motor, does it not become a Cosworth, and vice
versa, if it has a Cosworth Vega VIN, does it not become a Cosworth.
Personally, I like the guys who buy up Cosworths and put V8's in
them. I have gotten three Cosworth Vega motors, and transmissions,
etc. for real cheap, less than $300.00 each. One of them still has
the Cosworth stripes on his V-8 Cosworth Vega. I'm confused, I need
an aspirin and a nap. LOL :)
My Two Cents,
John J. Cowall

WHO CARES WHAT THEY DO WITH IT?

Let's take an example that I witnessed about 15-20 years ago, a
friend of mine found a 71 Hemi Cuda Convertible but the engine was
gone, he got the car for under $3000 way back in 1975, he drove it
for about 5 years with a 440, then he decided to restore it, during
the restoration, (3 years later), he tracked down the original owner
and managed to locate the engine the car came with, he bought it for
$2500, the car was then reunited with the correct motor many years
later, after he was done, he sold the car to a collector in the US
for $100,000 US, that car is now worth twice that and if the original
mileage was lower and would be worth close to $400,000 US.

My point is if I put a V8 in my car and drive it and like it even
more, when I sell it it might be worth only $2000, who cares, but if
you want a nice rust free CV, you can buy it then put a CV motor back
in it and have a complete CV rust free for half the price.

THEY CAN ALWAYS BE PUT BACK THE WAY THEY USED TO BE, make it what you
want then let you wife's next boy friend put it back to original if
that's what he wants, as long as you live it's yours and who cares
what you make of it as long as it's what you like and make you happy,
that's what life is for, to be enjoyed.

Worry about yours and leave mine alone LOL!

Enough said

Al
