Crankcase vent tube

I would like to remove the crankcase vent tube in the
block of my engine block. I want to drill and tap the
remaining hole for an AN fitting. Is the existing
fitting threaded in or press fit?
Has anyone out there performed this process? I
understand that some have even moved it's location to
the opposite side of the block to reduce the effect of
the crankcase windage and oil splash. THanks, Jim

It's a press fit.

If you're having problems with oil ingestion through the
PCV system, I came up with a new design that works without
ingesting oil, and its still a closed system, but it's only
suitable for engines with the original EFI system. It won't work with
Webers.

The details are in the Twin Cam Times portfolio and the parts cost is
about five bucks.
