My rear 7/8" bar was given to me a long time ago by another CV owner.
It is of unknown manufacturing origin, but I believe it was retailed
by "Dobi". It mounts just like the OEM bar. In addition to the OEM
shims, it took a lot of washers to fill the gaps at the trailing arm
mounting points, but once I got the spaces filled up, it has worked
fine ever since.
It's not clear to me from your description what you have, but the OEM
rear bar design only requires attachment at each trailing arm.
There is no chassis mount as with the front bar. If you bar kit came
with typical pillow blocks to mount the bar to the chassis, just do
not use them. As long as the bar fits, doesn't interfere with the
axle housing, and can be secured with the two bolts on each trailing
arm, that's all you need.
The 7/8" rear bar is best complimented by a 1 1/16" front bar that is
common on base suspension late seventies Monzas, and I recommend using
this bar with hard urethane end link bushings.
