This little project was inspired by a friend. Turned my 73 Vega promo
into a radio controlled car. I know I choose the wrong year body for
this group. The 73 was my worse out of my promo collection. May-be
somebody else can get inspiration from this and turn their 75,76 into
a Cosworth promo R/C with all the proper decals that you can get on
ebay. Picture in album titled Astreformula.

Al,

What radio controlled car chassis did you use? I'd been thinking the
same thing but since I don't have a body to use, it's all for
naught. How ever the Kyosho Mini-Z chassis looks to be a good fit.

Brian, I used a Radio Shack SSR truck. They have two other cars to
choose from (Pt Cruiser, Mercedes). Depending on the wheels you want.
There is a problem of the chassis not being long enough. I cut the
chassis and used an autobody epoxy used to fix plastic bumpers to
make up the necessary length. The product is called Duramix. They
have different types for different plastics. Use the rigid type
#4059. The epoxy sells for about $13.00. Beleive me this stuff is
strong once this hardens. You can sand this stuff to shape. I've
crashed my promo many times without any problems. Post a photo when
you're done.

Al
