If the oil filter is full of oil, you can take an all and poke a
hole into the filter to drain it before removal. A better idea is
to take a self taping screw, and screw it into the filter. Back the
screw out a little to let the oil drain out. Then when it is done
draining, screw the screw back in to stop excess driping when taking
the filter off.
