As Bob pointed out I have changed the carpet in 1105 unknow
manufacturer the heal pad is not correct and I have lost points in
the concours judging in 2001 I think the thought was ACC had the
correct heal pad.

Carpets

First of all, maybe it got missed but I did buy a 76 Cosworth black
carpet that I put in 2301 last year about February before Super
Chevy. I called ACC and and they corrected the problem that they had
a few years before. It DID fit fine. I have also corresponded with
other members who have purchased the carpets for a 76 prior to my
order and they worked fine.
Second, I will have to call them and find out what is going on with
the discount. Any CVOA member is supposed to be able to get the
discount. I will try and call them in the morning when they are open
and find out what has happened. They used to have one contact that
we were supposed to ask for and she would give us the discount. She
no longer takes orders there and the system has been changed. I will
see what we can do about it, and for now if I am the only one that
can order multiple samples, let me know what to order and I will
order them and pass them on to whoever should make the decision. I
don't have any buckskin interior cars so I really would not be the
one to do it. I will let you know what I hear from them. Chris

Just to stir things up some more, the original carpet heel pads are
different between the 75 & 76. The 76 has a small rectangular heel
pad (about 6 x 10 inches) while the 75 had a much larger heel pad
(about 10 x 10) with an additional 4 inch wide extension of that pad
towards the accelerator pedal. When we had the ACC project started in
the 80's we had them with the correct heel pads albeit they were sewn
in rather than "heat set". But that was when we were dealing with
Vickie and I don't believe that she's been there for the last several
years. I'm just guessing that the carpets now just have the smaller
heel pad.
