Thought I might have the only one left! Looks very much like #3251,
but of course mine is nicer;)

(Proud new papa of a 215 c.i. aluminum V-8 Monza. This is the motor
that should have come in a Cosworth. I've waited seven years to make
it happen, and man is it fun. Vroooom!)

Chris

The owner of the car has both the Cosworth wheels and dash pad, I
asked about the missing items.

The dash pad was taken out because it had cracks. I agree with you
cracked dash and the rear seat carpet - it does not pass the smell
test.

I have #3434 here in NJ. I think mine is fairly nice, too.

Eric, I did a quick search and I have 10 buckskin Cosworths listed in
the database, yours, Tim's, Ron's, and the one on Ebay are four.
There have been 2 others listed in Ohio within the last 2 years.
Other than that, all of the other records are old and who knows if
they still exist. There are still 569 76 Cosworths that I don't know
the color of and I know that many of those cars are black and white.
Buckskin still seems to be the rarest color. ( I wonder why ) Sorry
guys, not my favorite. Anyway, I hope the information answers your
question, there may another 10-15 of them out there still waiting to
pop up.
About the one on Ebay, I just think it is sad that guy wrote all of
those things in the description. He forgot to mention that the dash
pad was missing. I have very few Cosworths that have the damage to
the back seat and rear carpet as bad as that one and they have sat
outside for 20 years. I think something is a little fishy there.
And you have to love the fact that it is all original and those rims
sure look a little different. Oh well, what can you do. Take care,
Chris

Just out of random curiosity, does anyone besides Tim, myself, and
the person on Ebay have a Buckskin Cosworth?

Thanks, Chris. I had a couple of quick notes:

First, my back seat shows almost the same damage, although not as
extensive, as the Ebay car. Mine came from CA originally, so I'm
guessing sun damage? The carpet itself isn't rotten, it just split
there. An auto interior shop said they could fix it, but I haven't
gotten around to it. Also, my dash pad cracked the first summer I
had it here in Seattle, and I store it in the garage under a car
cover. It definately wasn't cracked when I got it, and then one day
it was. The car only has 60k miles. Since I haven't found a good
saddle-colored pad to replace it, I painted a black one saddle and it
looks great.

And by the way, I personally like the Orange/White Cosworth combo the
best. Buckskin really doesn't turn my twin cams, but hey, it was my
first one, and it is really nice. And since there seem to be less of
them around, I can truly brag about having one of the rarest color
Cosworth's. As if bragging about Vega's gets me any. My crappy,
multi-colored 1980 Monza with the new V-8 gets twice the attention.
The espresso stand girls like the sound. Sigh.

Eric
