And you'll need to fabricate a new crossmember, if you want pics of
an easy way to do it, let me know and I will post some pics of mine.
I will also get pics of the floor mod. If you have the components for
the conversion, it will take no longer than just swapping
transmissions and torque arm. Keep in mind that your speedo will be
off by a few mph. The most time consuming part is the crossmember.
There was also an article in the CVOA mag circa Feb 1992 on the 75
swap. But I think my way was easier. Buying 5 speeds is a gamble at
best. I unfortunately passed on several at swap meets in the past few
years because of outward appearence. $300 is a lot of money for a
five speed imho. I see them at swaps for $75-125. Wrecking yards will
sell them for the same price range if you can find them. They are
out there.
