Oups!!! I should have waited and download the whole thing before
sharing the link, it has 32 valves but not 4 cams Duh!!!.

I was wondering how the cams ran but after taking the time to look
it up, I realized I screwed up.

Sorry, it kills the Twin Cams relation.

Twin Cam heads

I recall one DOHC four-valve converstion for the SBC back in the
seventies. I think the name was Moser.

The new generation SBC, which should be showing up in the next
generation Corvette and probably the trucks, too has two inblock cams.
This will enable either independently variable inlet or exhaust valve
timing, or both. This will allow the engine to meet NOx spec by
varying valve timing for more or less overlap to leave enough exhaust
gas residual to meet NOx specs. In the case of our CV engine they
just indexed the cams for plenty of overlap to kill the NOx standard,
but the excess really hurt low speed torque, and idle quality.

I think it was the October '01 Hotrod that contained some info on this
new twin-cam SB that was provided on the record by GM Powertrain.
With 392 CID torque and horsepower were in the range of 450. GM was
very cagey about the number of valves, which left open the possibility
that this engine might have three valves per cylinder.
