The 4th Quarter 2001 Cosworth Vega Magazine contains an extensive
article on the coolant and air temperature sensors, including a
description with photos of the "workaround" procedure.

In addition, the www.cosworthvega.com website contains, in the Tech
Corner/How To section, a description of the procedure and equipment
needed to verify the functionality of either an air temperature or a
coolant temperature sensor.

I don't know where you can find a new sensor, but I, and probably
others, have used ones for sale.

Does anyone know where I can get a new coolant temperature sensor for
a 1975 Cosworth. My car ran fine until a couple of weeks ago when it
suddenly tried to start but would not. On warm days (around 60 Degrees)
It almost starts but will not continue to run. Anyone had similar
problems? Was it the Coolant Temperature Sensor? Thanks.
