I'm so Confused (buying a CV)

I bought my CV 3 years ago, I it was a lucky find. A few things I
wish I knew before I purchased were the differences between the 1975
and the 1976. I know there is a great site that a CVOA member made
showing pictures of the differences. Personally, I think the 1975
looks better, with the smaller brake lights and the visable corner
lights. But I switched to the 76 wheels because the lugnuts look
better. The 76 has bigger rear brake drums, an available 5 speed
(big plus), and an optional 4.11 rear end. The 5 speed and 4.11
rear end is supposed to be the best set up for the CV, so I will be
swapping that onto my 1975. I love the white interior on my car,
but white pieces are really hard to find. I know you said you were
looking into a mint interior car, but just keep it in mind. Best of
luck.

The 4.10:1 (not 4.11) axle was not "optional". It was bundled with
the five speed transmission. The base drive train was a four speed
with a 3.73:1 axle. RPO M75 got you the five speed with a 4.10 axle.

The only other drivetrain option was a positraction axle option, which
was avalible either with the base four-speed/3.73 or the optional
five-speed/4.10.
