Wheel Refinishing: An Update

Everyone:

Today I mushed through six inches of fresh snow in Columbus to meet
with Bob at Wheel Medic, Inc. As the result of our conversation, I
left with him a Cosworth wheel that I had refinished about 10 years
ago to use as a color match. It wears Cosworth Gold lacquer from
PPG.

I will be sending him a "worst case" wheel on Monday and he has
agreed to refinish it to try and earn our business. I will take
pictures of the before and after wheel, and in the same light,
pictures of the color match wheel.

If the color match is as good as I expect, and if the results are
otherwise satisfactory, I'll negotiate a Club discount for his
services.

In the meantime, so that I can dangle a carrot before him, would
those of you who are likely to have a set of wheels refinished by
him between now and the end of this summer please drop me an e-mail
at <a href="/group/cosworthvegas/post?protectID=029166091163127190025067203043176088230145042192128049173190077205015143149061">markrock@c...</a> I'd like to be in the ballpark when I
predict how much business he can expect from our group. I'm
thinking between 28 and 48 wheels (7 to 12 sets), but perhaps I am
optimistic.

Mark
