I have always used a circular saw to cut my springs. A quarter of a
coil here, a half a coil there, and voila, lowered. However, my
approach is not the best one. I have a car that one side ended up
being a half inch lower than the other side. It is NOTICEABLE. So
back to putting in regular springs.

Later,
John J. Cowall

P.S., I have a friend who lowered his mustang by just heating the
springs. It turned out real nice, lowered the front by 2 inches and
the rear 1 inch.
