Anyone installed one of the club's (repro) speedo cables in their
car? Please give me a hint, how do you fit the firewall grommet? As
far as I can tell, there is NO WAY this grommet will fit into the
original size hole in the firewall. I even removed the grommet off
the cable just to give a little easier maneuvarability, and there's
still no way it will fit. Unless I'm missing something, I'll have to
enlarge the hole in the firewall to accept this grommet. Anyone have
any idea?
Lou

--- Thanks Art-
Yeah, I chucked the original one as it was pretty dry-rotted. The
original had a sort-of clip style set-up on the back of it which
would clip into the hole to hold it. The new style, which has a hard
plastic ring molded into the rubber, is probably a better design, but
this ring is just way to big to seat into the hole in my car. I mean,
it's not even close!
Thanks, Lou

I installed one about 3 years ago I purchased two before they
became the club's I do not recall any problems I will check my car
and see if I remember anything about the installing it will post
after checking things out. A thought though can you use the orignal
firewall gromet with the new cable?
