If I understand your problem correctly, the armrest/door pull has
come loose. If this is your problem, then I can share my experiences.
There are three long Phillips screws that hold the door pull in
place. Two are underneath the main body, and one is in the front
tip. Normally the plastic insert in the front tip of the door pull
itself breaks and allows the plastic/vinyl part to pull away from the
door, leaving the screw and a small piece of plastic still tightly
affixed to the door panel. The plastic piece is molded in place, and
unless you can find a glue that will work great (I haven't), the only
solution is to replace the pull entirely (and not yank on it so hard
in the future).
I suspect it is possible that the screw stripped the threads out of
the sheet metal piece it screws into, and if so the solution is to
remove the door panel, then the sheet metal piece, repair the hole
the screw threads into, then replace everything.
I can probably dig up a picture of the inside of the door with this
sheet metal piece in place if that would help.
Any further questions, or clarifications of your problem, let us know.
