That seems a little steep for a GT model considering the going price
for a Cosworth in the same shape. There's also the maintenance
considerations when it has been sitting that long. Hey, maybe someone
will pay that...it just slowly increases the value of ours, right.

Aw com on! This is a museum quality car. It is NEW. It has
technically never been driven. It has only 20 miles on it with all of
the factory stickers and seat plastic wrap still in place. The seller
really ought to be offering the car to an automotive muiseum instead
of on EBAy. The same would go for a CV in the same state of condition.

Never Titled Never Driven Vega GT on Ebay

Here are some questions to ponder.

1. Was the cooling system drained and dried or does it have the 25
year old factory fill? If so, how bad is the internal corrosion?

2. Same question for the fuel system. Was it drained, dried, and
treated with the preservative, or does it still have the remants of
the three gallon factory fill, which at this point would be about a
half of pound of gum and varnish and corrosion to one degree or
another?

I note that the verbiage says something along the line of "suitable
for museum display". My bet is that it doesn't run, and it will take
some significant work on the fuel and brake systems to bring it back
to safe and reliable operating condition. The cooling system is a
crap shoot, so you just set set your stopwatch to see how long before
the head gasket blows out. Hey, do I have a jaundiced eye, or what?

Eight grand is a lot for a static display!
