Spyder Colors & Stripes

For a Dark Blue spyder, I'd say the gold stripes
(77-79) would look the most correct.
A while back I
talked to a kid somewhere in Cali,that inherited a dark
blue '77 Spyder from his ma.
The car had a deluxe
white interior. The Spyder decals were the black
stripes with a white additional stripe inside the
black,on the door.
I have never seen this before, but
the kid says he asked his ma,who bought the car
originally and she says this is how the car came.
So ,if
you have a white interior, you could go with black
stripes,other wise, Gold would look right.

I'm restoring an 80 Spyder and need some info on
boby and stripe colours.
I know that 80 stripes are
not available so I'm going with 76-79 Spyder stripes.
I prefer those anyway. My car is the original Dark
metallic blue.
I'm keeping the same colour when I redo
the paint.
Was Dark Blue available in 76-79
Spyders? And if so what was the colour scheme of the
stripes?
With out any specific data I'm leening towards the
gold stripes that came on Black
Spyders.

Paul,
we (I, Ken Mahoy, and other members)
came to a conclusion thta the stripes were matched to
the car`s interior color
I`m not sure `stencil
and stripes are making the light blue stripes Ken
Mahoy would be the one to get in touch with concerning
info on the stripes
