I actually don;t know how to start this. I read
the final tally on the fund you guys had for Lenny
and am utterly amazed at how generous everyone
has
been. I especially appreciate you posting the info on
the club's message board and especially appreciate
Doyle acting as Trustee.
Doyle says he would like to
meet Lenny someday and I would love to meet all of
you. I think when Lenny wakes up from his "nap" and is
able to travel we just may take a cruise around the
country and stop off to meet some of you guys who were so
incredibly thoughtful and helpful. You guys have made this
unbearable time a little easier for me.
As for Lenny's
status. He is opening his eyes a little more than usual,
but there really hasn;t been much movement. I stayed
at the hospital with him on Friday night and he had
an uneventful night. Today however, wasn;t a great
day. I usually try to do some passive range of motion
with him so he can step on the gas pedal and turn the
wrenches again. And when I picked up his left leg leg his
eyes shot wide open he did this posturing thing (which
isn't good) and his mouth opened, that leads me to
believe he was in pain. I am wondering if maybe when the
nurses were moving him a muscle or something got pulled.
And then around 3:30 they came in to move him again
and when I came back in the room, he looked like he
was miserable, in pain, unhappy and just plain upset.
I was kind of concerned because he was posturing on
the right side to the extent that I could not get his
hand out of a fist no matter how hard I tried and that
signifies that there is something wrong. A Dr. came in and
I told him my fears and he did a little exam and
then left and then came back after a 1/2 hour or so,
he said that they were going to run some tests and
check out a few things to see if he maybe has an
infection or something.
I am getting discouraged I guess
because I have these expectations and they aren;t being
met in the time frame I had hoped. It is day 46 and
this is really starting to wear me down. You can only
sit next to a person who doesn't move or talk for so
long before it starts to depress you.
And now my
biggest problem is that they want to put him in a nursing
home and no nursing home is willing to take him. I
have the Senator working on it for me, but it doesn't
help my stress or depressionlevel very much.
Please keep the prayers coming we NEED them.
Thanks
for all of your help.
Adrienne
Well folks,
looks like it's time to start providing thoughts and
prayers for Adrienne as well as lenny. Don't give up, we
can only imagine difficult it must be waiting for
Lenny to make his next move towards being healthy. And
yse, it does get frustrating just waiting for
something to happen. But take heart, and hang in there, you
are doing so well and we all know how much you want
him back. Please take care of yourself.
