I told the group about the bearing, I got it in
today and looked at it. Guess what is entirely too big?
Yup you got it the Bearing. So I went to Timkins site
and found a local distributor-called them and they
said they'll have it for me tomorrow. No more Napa for
me (well at least here in Raeford). I'm going to
stick with Jerome,Larry, and Charles at Advance.

This is just
like any other service related outfit. Some are
competent, some arent. Take my local Advance, they Suck. The
one about 20 min from here is good. Same goes for the
local O'Reiley's and NAPA shops. I have my
favorites...

Why would you ever got to NAPA in the first place? High prices and poor customer service.

I concur.There are 5 Autozones within a 30 minute
drive.I've done business w/ all of them.I try to call first
to see who is working before I drop by.It all boils
down to the counter-person(pc).A computer geek is no
replacement for a parts-guru.
Just holding
forth,again,Frank.

The local NAPA store was the best here.At one
time, there were 5 parts stores in town and 6 yards outta
town.Nearness to Ft Rucker probably helped. When Discount Auto
Parts opened, they all dried up and 3 floods in 6 yrs
finished up the yards.I had actually worked out a deal w/
the local NAPA to get parts thru an escrow acct at
cost, and have their name on the plague at
shows, magnetic decals at the track.Oh well, the best laid
plans.....

There used to be a auto parts chain store here in
washington called Al's auto supply. Very knowkledgable and
helpful staff when it came to parts you needed.
Unfortunatley Schmuck's I mean schuck's auto parts took over
and all the stores went to crap. Bad sevice,
brainless employees and the like. If you find a GOOD auto
parts store stick with it!
Just my ramblings
Doug

Hey Doug I had a friend that worked for AL's. We
used to work toghether at 10,000 auto parts which may
be familar to those from the San Diego or Minesota
area. There is no substitute for length of experience
in you counter help to make a good parts store. The
books are not always complete in there listings...
