Does a V8 Monza bellhousing use a 153 or 168 tooth flywheel? Or does it matter?

Any help would be appreciated, Dave...

All Chevy powered H bodies used the 153 tooth
flywheel. There just is not enough room (ground clearance,
etc.) for the larger 168 tooth flywheel. The H bodies
use a smaller bellhousing than the regular F, G & A
body GM cars.

Kevin.

A 168 tooth flywheel will not fit (unless of course you break something) in the stock bell housing.

I made the assumption he was asking about a stick.

I was asking about a flywheel and I thank you all
for answering. I thought the 153 tooth flywheel was
the only one that could be used, but a friend thought
otherwise. Anyway, thanks again for the reply; this club is
very helpful.

Thanks, Dave...

Actually my buddy Jeff Laughlin has a 77 Mirage and it has a stock 14 " flat flywheel and staggered bolt starter with stock belhousing and it works fine.
