O.K. you have a coupe, big diff. always heard
they were alot lighter. Mine was weighed at a State
scale and at Quaker City dragway at 3180 me out of the
car, and very low on gas. A buddy had a no A/C V8 with
iron manifolds, steel wheels and all his sound
deadener, he had it weighed at a topsoil place it went
3260. Another buddy has a 80 Sunbird coupe that he only
races, he just got it to 2600 with aluminum heads, one
drag seat, impact bars in the doors removed, Lexan the
whole way around, Centerline Auto Drags 15x3.5 & 15x7,
fuel cell, manual steering & brakes, no bumpers,
headlights, wiper motor $ assm., no exaust. But he does have
a 9in & a 8 point cage. So I never saw a stock
coupe weighed unless scales are like Drag Strips,
Quaker is the slowest track around. Depending on your
car you can go 2-3 tenths quicker at Thompson, 3-5
tenths at Keystone, and 3-4 tenths and 4 MPH at
Rockingham. Also before they shut down Drag City {Meander} it
was good for a couple of .10s. Just what I have seen.
