I just bought a 1980 monza clone, pontiac
sunbird, it has a 3.8 litre buick engine, its automatic
floor shift, the interior is in excellent to very good
shape. it is blue out and black and blue in. there is no
visible rust from the outside and the interior is in
awsome shape.
but the motor has blow-by.
I payed
$50 for the car. It didnt run when i bought it, the
last owner moved the distrib and didnt know how to get
it back in place, of course she didnt mention the
motor had blow-by.
will thicker oil help this
condition?
I have a chevy 350 in my garage and want to ask if
i can put that in this car?
I know monza's came
with small block chevy motors in them, but can a
sunbird accept a small block.
will i need to get a new
tranny? driveshaft?
It would be a shame to put this
car in the recycling yard just cuz of some minor
probs, considering the great shape of the interior and
body.
thanks for any tips from anyone that answers.
