Good Job Bryan, you really made a mess of
things.

While trying to pull my steering wheel, I
didn't insert the 2 bolts into the steering wheel far
enough and ended up bending both bolts as well as the
main bolt used to 'pull' the wheel. I did get my wheel
off (with a fair amount of effort) but while taking
out the bolts, they snapped leaving a good length
inside the steering wheel (not enough to use pliers or
anything to grab them and manually twist them out with).
How do I get the remnants out of the wheel without
stripping the threads inside the steering wheel itself??? I
thought of drilling them out but that may damage the
threds inside. Help
Bryan

Ouch Bryan..It sucks when situations foul up like
this, but dont worry you have options, and there is a
solution.
I would like to suggest an 'EZ' out kit. You
should be able to find one at any auto parts store.
You'll have to do some drilling but hopefully the bolts
are soft.
You could even try drilling them out
completely...if your very very carefull and you have the right
size bit,you wont strip out the threads.

Oh and
call me...tonight or tomorrow night.

How about those bits Bob Vela(sp) pushes for
Sears?Or drill and use a left hand tap, followed by a
smaller l/h thread bolt, and back them out.
Someone
probably has something simpler, just my immediate response
from my bio-electric meat hard drive.

Is there enough of the bolts showing to use a dremel to cut a slot and then use a straight edge screw driver to unscrew them.
Just a thought
Doug
