Jeff,a buddy in the USAF had a '72 Formula
Firebird. He was from Penn, and the 472" Tin Indian was
assembled by H O out of New York,I think.Doug Nash 5 spd
xmsn, complete VSE susp and Vette brakes.
At sub legal speeds
this tork monster was flat scary.Yet,at twice the
dbl-nickel it was like cruising in a Caddy.120MPH felt like
60MPH.If we didn't have the Cape Canaveral designed window
clips installed, the door glass would pull out at about
130 MPH.
And when we pulled the headers
opened(JCWhitney stuff) the sound system was
inoperative.
Scared/wetted the WAFs when we cruised down to Ft.Laudredale
hurting for Turbo Carreras on I-95.And this baby was a
slot car at the New Symarna hi-banked oval, during the
spectator hot laps.
Tork rules on the street.
