H-Body Insurance- being raped

I have an isurance situation..

The whole
story is probably long and boring,so I'll keep it
brief.
I paid my bill (overdue) on a saturady..
The
lady at the office goes "here, sign this"
Its so
we cant be liable if yoiu have a lapse.

I
didnt think anyhthing of it.

Well apparantly my
policy had cancelled that day

and payment
wouldnt be reaching there office untill that
monday.

It was Days later when I got a letter informing me
that I didnt have a policy

...I called my
company and they said they hadnt even recieved a payment
yet! my local agents office and they said with smiling
voices"oh we sent it"

bullshit, mail takes 11 days?
when my sister can send me a card on christmas in 2
days from philly?

Even so.. there were days,
trying to get the payment and reinstatement.

when they recieved payment they said they couldnt use
it to reinstate a policy it had to be sent
back.

I had to wait more days to get money to re-start
a policy.

the dmv charges 8 dollars a day
!

this is why my local agent had me sign that
paper..they have played 'dumb games' with me before.

My bill at the dmv (penalty) is 240 dollars and my
licence is currently expired!

I am so mad! And I
am double mad about the things my mind comes up
with...about what I'd like to do to the people at my agents
office.
I hate ,hate. I hate feeling like Im up against a
wall.

They screwed me out of 240.

and I'm just
feeling like Im getting a hold on my debt..which is
serious.
and things like this come along to kick me back 3
steps.

seems like theres pressure to lose one or more of
my monza's all the time.

Marco, that doesn't sound right at all. I know
with my agent, if I give him a check I am considerd
paid at that moment. If he's a agent for the company
giving payment to him is the same as mailing it to the
home office. Ummm, has anyone ever heard of computers?
The agent can access your account and show payment
immediately, there should be no reason for them to have to
wait for the agent to mail the check to the home
offece to consider the payment made. A agent for the
company IS the company, you got screwed. Clyde

've been screwed all right, but it aint over...I
have options.
I'm not just going to blindly pay
the fine before I talk to some ppeople in high places
at the DMV, Better Business Beureu. and such.

You know,Im willing to even pay a penalty. Not 240
bucks though,Im thinking that through some polite
pestering, $50 dollars should be fine.

I am not sure how NY does it. BUt if this
happened in NC I would write the State Insurance agent. In
NC if insurance companies want to raise rates they
have to get this persons permission first, and he is a
elected offical :)
Second write the Attorney Generals
office and see what they say.
Third write BBB so
others will know, and maybe they can help? Never know,
and don't give up.

And I hope you already have
started looking for a new place, don't ever go back to
them.

I just got rearened in my Monza so I am about to
have some fun with the insurance comapny, I feal your
pain.

Yeah, I found out I could go through the actual
insurance company directly..instead of some rediculus
'agent'
I cant see how it ever made sence for me to pay a
50 dollar fee to go through this 'agent' when i
could just deal with the co. directly, and pay over the
phone,or by computer.

I guess the 50 dollars was
for the 'convienience' of having a local office with
a line you could wait in for half the
afternoon.
How crazy is that? I cant believe these places
stay in business.

Id find a different insurance company. If they
bone you this hard now what will they do to you if you
have a situation where you have an accident and need
to use the coverage.Beware!!!!!I have been with
State Farm insurance for 15+ years. When i had a pipe
burst in the house(homeowners insurance thru them too)
They came through with shinning colors.Covered all but
the $250.00 deductible.Damages to the house was
$3500.No bullshit,no waiting,no problems nothing! It cost
me about $350 for the plummer and i did the
sheetrock repair myself.I pocketed the rest for the
repairs. My insurance never went up either.I have not needed
to use the auto or truck policys yet as ive never
had an accident but i have stayed with them because
of the house incident.Im sorry......,this is off our
Klingons topics but i figured it was worth
posting:):):):)Bill in Az...
