Does anyone know what the difference is between a
master cylinder made for use with power brakes and one
made for manual brakes?I seem to recall a post that
said they were interchangeable for 76-77 butI cant
seem to find it.Any help would be greatly
appreciated.Dave

A manual M/C has a rod that directly attaches to the brake pedal. Power M/C just has a small rod inside it that is pushed on from the brake booster.

the master cyl ins the same between manual and
power.
all you do with manual in pry off cap and push rod
and install it on new master cyl.
I used mine with
both 75 front brakes andon my 77 with s10 calipers and
a complete s10 rearend under the back of my 77
monza.
Now all this is for a monza by the book vegas run a
smaller master cyl bore.
i'll have to dig up my book
that goes back to 75 but if I remember the 75 monza
was same as the vegas and my 75 had a 77 master
cylinder and worked perfectly but I did have s10 rearend
and brakes/wheel cylinders.
i'll look it up and
post again either tomorrow or tuesday maybe.
