Club,
I have finally found a good solution
for my problems:
My local speed shop buddy had
me put on some plug wire insulators made by Taylor.
These are made from some form of pot metal(zinc alloy),
and can be used on 90 degree boots. They also allow
direct contact with the headers. So far, they are
working just fine, but the weather has not gone above 75
but once this year so I dont know how long they will
last. At this point they are lasting longer than
anything I have tried before. If they continue to prevent
meltdown and missfires, I will pass on this info ASAP
along with part numbers/sources etc.
Jeff in
Dallas.
