Just finished adding some more of it at night
when the pearl really shows off.

Anybody got
any ideas on what to do about my tach reading what
ever it wants? It only does it whenever I turn
something electrical on like the rear defog,
headlights/parklights, windshield wipers. BUT, when I push in the
lighter in the dash it will go back to reading like it
should. It's got me confused.

Charlie,

I saw that one on ebay. It's good
to see that she went to a good home. I hope you
enjoy her, maybe think about puting her back to her v8
glory? I'm down in Roseburg, OR if you ever want to talk
Monza's. I have three of them (only one runs right
now).

Kent,

I have been enjoying the car. She will some day (hopefully soon) be going back to V8/auto. But, for now she'll remain the way she is untill I can afford to do otherwise.

What I find odd is it still has the V8 frame
mounts, I'm not sure if it still has the motor mounts too
or if they are something else.

I started to
pull the old clutch out today. To do that I must pull
the drive shaft, and to do that I've gotta pull the
exhaust, and to do that I've gotta break out the cut-off
wheel. The car has a header on it that's a 4 into 2
set-up. And from the header it's got what looks like two
2" pipe all the way to the glass packs behind the
rear axle. The exhaust pipe runs from the right side
of the car(where the header exits at) comes towards
the back of the car about 12" or so then moves to the
left of the car just behind the trans mount and runs
towards the back right below the drive shaft. The exhaust
piping is tucked up into the drive shaft tunnel with the
drive shaft.

I'm hoping I can just cut the
strap of metal holding the glass packs up and the
exhaust will drop down... then do the work I need to
do... and then hold the exhaust up and weld it in
place.

Charlie,

Glad to hear that you are
enjoying your new ride. I've been driving my '77 spyder to
work off and on for the last couple of months. I can't
wait to get my other two running and looking good. I'm
looking forward to the delema in the morning of choosing
which one to drive. I'm currently collecting parts to
do a "true to stock" v8 conversion on my '77 spyder.
If you come across any parts that you don't want for
yours, let me know.

I have friends up in St.
Helens, maybe one of my trips up there, we could get
together and chat about our babies.

Hello everybody,

I just finished adding
pictures of my two vega's in my breifcase. I'm not working
on adding pics of my monza. Then my truck and next
the monte pace car.

The pictures can be found
at: http://briefcase.yahoo.com/vega_guy_76

Take a look and let me know what you
think.

Also, I am parting out the notchback. If anybody
needs any parts from the notchback email me.

I
may be parting out the monza soon, also. The monza
suffers from extreme rust through in the floor boards and
cowl area above fuse box. I've noticed good sized
cracks between mounts for lower control
arms.

Charlie
Damn, the Monza Sport Steering wheel you have is exactly what I'm looking for (the woodgrain insert). You wouldn't have a line on a similar insert do you???

The color is a light tan. Could easily be dyed if you wanted to. Let me know if you're interested in anything.
