Seat belt mounting

Postby Fryksten » Tue Jan 23, 2024 4:14 am

Hej.
I was able to get a pair of seat belts from Ebay. Impossible task, trying to get a pair here in Sweden.
But but the sheet metal in the roof the car has. That don’t seem to match the belt. To me it looks like either side / bolt holes should be parallelly.
Perhaps some earlier friends have done some .. handyman’s work. bending the steel. or.
So, to the question.
Does someone have or can take a picture of this mounting places. So, I can see how it should look like.

He had taken some pictures that I was looking for.

Nice to ease the mind.. :D

The seatbelt systems changed between 1976 and 1977, '76 had dual retractors, one on the floor and one ceiling mount per side, the '77's had the ceiling mount only single retractor.
Now I do not know for certain but the later cars may have had a bigger opening for the longer travel retractor, so the seat belts will be somewhat year dependant. I hope this helps! Harry
