I do know that tires should be stored out of the sunlight and away from electrical appliances (ozone). I would think any cool, dark area would be good. A coat of rubber protectant probably wouldn't hurt either.

on storing tires for winter: I have goodyear 15ry 31by 14 wides d5 compuond on my chev 2 drag for ten tears (the truth) with only about 55 passes on them in all those years and i consistently ran 10.95 to 11.00 all the time with 60 foot times around 1.47 to 1.50 and i never took special care in winter. they allways stayed on the car in an unheated garage sometimes going in the tens and lower once in a while (new york) the only thing i allways made sure of for winter was that i always had around 20 lbs of air in tires over winter so they werent wrinkled.i also do this when i leave the track each time so the tires are allways sitting around with no wrinklesIm buying a new set this spring and am trying the MT radials which all the super stock guys use and supposedly get better traction. we will see.Moral of story: you always dont have to change your slicks all the time like the experts say you shouldand at least i didnt need to take special precautions for winter storage. maybe if cac is left outside in severe winter conditions then you need to do some covering up no matter what i recomend putting in extra air for storage.Anyone want some beautiful 10 tear old slicks free.they are a beautiful thing chev art

I will keep air in the new ones with the car off the ground, the car will be stored in a semi heated garage about 45 degrees, spring is getting closer and closer every day,,,cant wait,3 months untill racing starts again,,,
