Save the trouble of cutting the floor. I bought some subframe connectors from SSFab and they work fantastic. just gotta weld them in and thats it. no cutting at all. I put them on my 72 vega and my 74 vega wagon. Straight launch everytime! only $125 a piece.. that includes the shipping too.

here is there website if anyone wants to buy

Are those the ones that hang down about 3 or 4 inches below the pinch weld, looking from the side of car?

Yeah, I meant pictures of them installed on the car. How far do they hang down and what do they look like from the side?

Just checked right now.. These subframe connectors are a little less than 2 1/2 inches below the pinch weld and are not noticeable any more than the Competition Engineered subframe connectors I have on my 72 nova which are about the same 2-3 inches below the pinch weld. So rest assured these are no worse than Competition's or any other

Web site says 71-77 if you installed a set on your 79 then they actuall fit 71-80 Monza, Sunbird, stc
Are you satisfied with the finished product?
would you recomend them to others?
Sorry for the questions but would like to know before buying a set

We built a set from the plans listed at the start of the topic. We cut them 1/2 longer on all sides then the plans, then cut to fit our car. This was my first time went well.

i bought a set a few weeks ago from south san antonio fabrication.
i would say i am very satisfied with the finished product, the connectors come painted black and are put together really well
also ther do a great job of responding fast. i contacted them and recieved an e-mail with a few hours
so overall yes i would reccomend them to others. i have 3 vegas, 2 have alstons subframe and the other has the ones from south san antonio fabrication.
i wish i knew about these back then. it saved me time having not to cut the floor especially on my cars because the floor pans are more thsn great
for a total of $125 including shipping it was a deal :th:
