Adjustable front shocks, how do you adjust them?

Postby bill1978v8 » Mon Jun 26, 2006 12:45 pm

I bought a set of Summit front shocks that are 70/30, 80/20, and 90/10. How do I adjust them as they came with no directions? I'd like to start at 70/30as I will drive it on the street.

I got a set from them too. You have to do it with them off the car. With the shock fully compressed, turn it left or right slowly, you will hear and feel it click. There is a sticker on mine that shows which is what setting. I think all the way to the right was 90/10, middle was 80/20, and left was 70/30. I had it on 90/10, but it lifted way too easy - the dragstrip here is not perfectly flat, so it was jumping up all the way down the track. I put them back on 70/30, and it feels much better. Besides, it's hard to steer with the wheels in the air on 90/10!
